2015 – Shore End HDD for Fiber Optic Cable
Summer 2015
- Drill and Leave HDD at three (3) locations along the coast of Alaska using 5” ID pipe with flush through pipe joint connections.
- ⎯ Two locations soft soils
- ⎯ One location hard soil/rock/schist
- Chartered barge with RTC marine spread to bring equipment and materials to all three locations – no roads into locations.
- Provided dive activities to cut drill pipe offshore, pig pipe and install closure assembly to keep debris out of pipe until 2016.
- Pickled HDD pipe in two (2) locations to keep from freezing over winter.
- Provided logistics to mobilize, billet and mess 30-man crew at each location.
